The Holocaust was a planned, calculated genocide by an intolerant Nazi regime. It resulted in the murder of approximately six million (6,000,000) Jews and five million (5,000,000) other individuals.
While the Holocaust targeted the Jewish people, the Nazi government also seeked to imprison and kill:

Political activists
Homosexuals
